Amazing find while surveying the Phoenix park this morning.
A significant population of hand sized Poecilotheria regalis Tarantulas living happily in numerous trees and walls around the park! How they arrived and adapted to our climate is the big question... Scarfs, perhaps?

if you’ve ever looked into the lawns at Derrybawn House or walked up into National Park above …
it’s perhaps the most challenging site in Wlicklow to grow trees
