Echo Protocol on @monad just avoided what could have been one of the biggest exploits of 2026. An attacker compromised the eBTC admin key and minted 1,000 eBTC out of thin air ($76.6M), then started moving funds through Curvance, Ethereum and Tornado Cash. The team regained control fast and burned 955 eBTC still held by the attacker. Final damage: **$816k**. Monad itself was not affected. As a precaution: • crosschain ops on Monad paused • some Aptos bridges and lending protocols paused $ECHO dropped 11%. This is already the 3rd major exploit in 4 days: • THORChain → >$10M • Verus Bridge → ~$11.5M • Echo Protocol → nominally $76M
