“We need joy as we need air.” — Dr. Maya Angelou
Today, we celebrate happiness as a fundamental human goal. This year’s theme invites us to use social media for good — spreading kindness, connection, and collective joy. 🌈 🌻

“Astonish a mean world with your acts of kindness.” — Continue
Honoring #NationalGivingMonth and the generosity, compassion, and community spirit Dr. Maya Angelou championed. 💛✨
We all need to realise that a handful of hate posts are mostly eclipsed by kindness. Raise your voice if you are the loving kind. Let me know you!
"Every single one of us could use some Mercy Now!"
💛 “It’s one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself, to forgive.” — Dr. Maya Angelou
On #GlobalForgivenessDay, we’re reminded that forgiveness isn’t forgetting — it’s freeing yourself from what no longer serves you. Let go to grow.

Most change plans don’t even consider or mention resistance to change. Yet it should be a primary focus in all our change interventions. Every change initiative starts out weak & vulnerable, without a track record of success. People are suspicious. They already have everyday struggles & don’t want these extra considerations to add to their burden.
We need to make wise choices about the stress we put on our teams & people. When we make the decision to pursue change, we need to anticipate resistance & build strategies to work with it, understanding that resistance is part of change & is often a positive thing. “Resisters” often have an important perspective, can point out important flaws & make the change stronger.

The UK, specifically England & Wales, has seen a longer term rise in the number of deaths mentioning ME as either causal or contributory 🇬🇧
Again, we have to think here that the overriding factor is recognition, and these numbers are well below a true reflection.
We are thrilled that our motion to better integrate #rehabilitation into the UK's national emergency preparedness, response and planning was passed at #CSPARC25 Thank you to all those who developed and supported this! Looking forward to its development!
“The need for change bulldozed a road down the center of my mind.” — Dr. Maya Angelou
On #WorldEnvironmentDay, we reflect on our shared duty to protect the Earth. Dr. Angelou reminds us: change begins with responsibility. 🌍💚

Reducing staffing costs, cutting services, underinvesting and delaying payments are just some of the ways NHS chief execs & finance directors are trying to balance the books in the face of a tough financial climate.

Fundamentally, radical reform and moral imagination requires humanitarians to ask ourselves: what power do I have; and how will I give it away? Can what I am doing be better done by others?

The limitation of Art depends on the internal resistance of its practitioners. Art is the spirit of the individual. If you are lucky enough to be chosen, do not be alarmed. Art will triumph, it has to. There is no other alternative, worth living for.
