Can we give the best we have each day, for each other?
Culture reflects leadership, team systems, and what you tolerate. So much of your culture is embedded in the daily habits and interactions that aren't always noticed.

The Transfer Portal is NOT the solution that many who enter believe it will be!
🚨 NEW D1 TRANSFER RULE 🚨 The unlimited Transfer Rule has changed the landscape of college baseball forever 🚨This year alone, over 5,000 players across NCAA entered the Portal. 🚨 75% of them were D1 players With that, only around 35% of those players will find homes🏠⚾️ #committed #collegebaseball #D1

Simple, easy lesson, now go rep it to apply the lesson!
🚨Matt Chapman: Soft Hands • Soft hands • Loose wrist • Change the balls direction ⭐️ Put the ball in front of your glove and allow the ball to make your glove fold around it

The mental game for PITCHERS (ALL Players!!!) is SO important!!! Here's a HOW to work it!
Across my own HS, College & Pro Pitching career, I've had [more than] my fair share of bad outings. I've also spent the last 10 years coaching pitchers from HS to MLB All-Stars. Here's what I've learned about how the best pitchers deal with bad outings. 🧵

Teaching should be this clear!
🚨 Coaching Tip : @CoachSheets3 • Grass-dirt-grass = 1st to 3rd • The ball won’t get to the outfielder w/ enough time to throw you out. • If you draw a throw to 3rd, the trail runner can advance to 2nd. ⭐️ Great baserunners don’t just wait to be told what to do all the time. Allow them to make aggressive decisions based on the guidelines you set.

We have got to become the kind of player Coach Prime (And EVERY other coach in America) wants to recruit. It's a choice we can make every day!
"I want to see you practice. Because, how you practice is who you are." @DeionSanders Average players search for 'the secret' to success. Great players know 'the secret' to success is consistent daily habits and routines. 'Embrace the boredom of consistency' every practice.

Ahhh, the Mental Side! More success through practiced routines!
🚨 Bobby Witt Jr.'s Reset Process - Take a step out - Find a small spot on your bat - Take a deep breath - Tell yourself something positive - Get back to work ⭐️ So what you missed your pitch? How well can you refocus so you don't miss the next one?

This is what EVERY college game should look like. Playing to pace is a HUGE benefit for everyone associated with the game!
Work fast! Pitchers you set the tone on defense! “Toe and Go!” Commit to your pitch, make the pitch, backup to top of mound, catch ball from C and go again. Get rid of the bad habit of walking off mound after every pitch towards catcher, receiving ball from C and walking a mile back to the top of the mound to make next pitch. It’s like watching paint dry and your defense falls asleep behind you. And on top of that… the grass hates you! Always remember, championship teams play with energy. Find ways, as a ball club, to add fuel, not lose it.

Champions teach championship behavior!
"Champions don't do extraordinary things. They do the ordinary things better than everyone else."  @TonyDungy quoting Chuck Knoll. Excellence in sports isn't about the complex; it's about doing the simple things exceptionally well.

Are we teaching our players to think the game like Jerry is suggesting? Maybe it's time?!
THROWING SLOWER TO THROW FASTER? IT’S VERY RELATIVE.

Great instructional for BB development!
What is the easiest way to learn a nasty curve/slider?🤔 I've tried dozens of different grips & cues over the years, and this might be the simplest grip to learn (& coach) for a firm, sharp breaking ball. [Thread 🧵]

Gotta put this baby in for our LHP's this season! Beware of us!
LHP’s is this one in your tool kit? Best weapon for runners who take long primary leads at 1B. This is an angular step back which allows the pitcher to put more force into the ground with his right leg. RHP’s can use this at 3B as well. In either case, you can bluff the pick.
