Cerrado Gold Secures Critical Court Injunction for Lagoa Salgada
Cerrado just secured a court injunction suspending APA's negative EIA opinion. The concession contract and PIN classification remain fully valid.
This doesn't mean construction starts tomorrow; the underlying legal case still needs to run its course. But the court has effectively frozen the only obstacle standing between Cerrado and a construction decision.
The Argentina thesis was never dependent on this. But if Portugal now resolves itself on top of a 55,000–100,000 GEO production ramp in Santa Cruz, the current valuation looks increasingly difficult to justify.
