Writers! Poets! Readers! Want to join my monthlong Zoom workshop to talk about either (1) the prose poem [swoon] or (2) writing about sexuality? Sundays, 90 min., weekly readings & writing prompts, & I provide feedback on what you write each week. kristindianesanders.com/work…
If you're a #writer watching #AI change the job landscape and zap your creative spark, hello! 👋🏼 I have an idea.
Let’s nurture our creativity, together. I'm offering two monthlong generative writing workshops via Zoom, 90 minutes every Sunday, on two of my favorite topics:
We'll gather in an intimate group, discuss the readings, learn together, write on our own during the weeks, and, as an option, share our writing aloud. I'll provide weekly (optional) writing prompts, and you'll receive personalized feedback from me on the work you create.
For the writers and poets in (or headed to) Paris, I’ve rounded up the open mics, reading series, and author interview series — at least that I know of! — in my latest Substack piece.
What did I forget?

My latest Substack piece touches on everything you need to know about moving to France on a visitor visa: finding an apartment, getting the visa, getting a French bank, SIM cards, the drivers license. Here's everything I wish I knew when I started this journey...
We are ecstatic to launch our series with an inaugural event featuring Laura Mullen (@afteriwasdead) Kristin Sanders (@KristinDSanders). Please join us on Saturday, February 17, 2024, from 14h-16h, at Rerenga Wines: Cave à vin et Librairie (3 rue de la Fidélité).
This is my favorite: Richard Siken giving advice on heartbreak. "Why is love not enough? Enough for what? To make people do what you want?"
Exactly.
I was in love during the pandemic. I also wanted to live in Paris. He was raising kids. And now I live in Paris.
So many parts to these questions. I will ask you more questions, then you ask me one question at a time. How do you cope? I will make a list of strategies. Not wanting to be with you? Do they still love you? What was their reason? Where did their love go? >
#expattwitter: If I were going to pay taxes in France but I've kept my US healthcare.gov insurance, what happens to the tax credits I've received via Obamacare? Am I going to owe the cost of the credits? Should I cancel my catastrophic US health insurance or keep it?
This #PoetryOffTheShelf podcast interview between host Helena de Groot and Laura Mullen is so powerful. I love that @afteriwasdead got to talk about her latest 9th book, EtC, and also her tweet that went viral for being taken literally not metaphorically.

how very rare it is to see/hear how boundaries can be articulated. How often have I heard a woman set boundaries out loud like that? Rarely! Everything @afteriwasdead said was brilliant and reminded me of why we're so lucky to have her viewpoint and writing in the world.
Other topics in the interview: MFAs as a pyramid scheme, her compassion for students/their livelihoods, the "commodeity," fighting back against the voice that says "just shut up," bravery.
"Each brave thing you do makes it easier to do the next brave thing." -@afteriwasdead
