Technically, Hell and the Abyss do not exist because they are like a dimension separated from the Source of Existence. The torment there is like an unquenchable thirst for being.
Similarly, evil does not exist. It is the absence of goodness, the same way coldness is the absence of heat. Even death does not exist. It is the absence of life and its Giver.
So, this world is only semi-real. It used to be eternal, unchanging, and beautiful. But when humanity walked away from the Maker of beauty, it created a chasm that let nothingness seep in.
Then, it began to eat away at the fabric of reality, causing corruption and decay. This universe should have dissolved already. But the Sustainer of All Things keeps it afloat so His children might return to Him and become fully real again.
However, we are deceived by the nothingness. It tells us there is no God, only ugliness and meaninglessness. It tells us we are our own gods and must save this sinking ship by ourselves.
This is nonsense though. We are nothing without our Creator, just like Satan, who was the first to walk away from the Source of Existence. This is why Satan can only lie, steal, and destroy.
Satan cannot create. And this is why magic is based on illusion, manipulation, and sacrifice. Even the psyops that shape our perceptions are based on hoaxes and disinformation.
So, the demons who rule this semi-real world do not have as much power as we think. They just appear powerful. In fact, their appearance of power comes only from our attention.
If we simply looked away, and looked within towards God, the demons would have no influence over us. We’d forget they were even there. Then, we’d be full of peace and joy.
When we focus on knowing our Unknowable Father in Heaven, we are constantly in wonder and awe. We learn to trust Him and His plan to redeem the collapsing cosmos.
Then, we simply surrender to the Mystery. We no longer fear darkness. We realize it can’t do anything to our immortal souls without consent. We realize it is only the absence of Light.
