Cool concept (that I've seen many times over the years) but let's be so real right now. If this were an actual thing, I do not think the message would appear on Social Media where it would be disregarded easily. Something like this would latch on to something that would land as strange. Imagine playing a game and a loading screen tip is like "YOU HAVE BEEN IN A COMA FOR ALMOST TEN YEARS. WAKE UP." followed by "Press G to use your Super when the gauge is full." You'd be a little tripped up.
IF YOU'RE READING THIS. YOU'VE BEEN IN A COMA FOR ALMOST 10 YEARS. WE'RE TRYING A NEW METHOD. WE DON'T KNOW WHERE THIS MESSAGE WILL END UP IN YOUR DREAM. BUT WE HOPE WE'RE GETTING THROUGH. PLEASE WAKE UP.

User does not understand how businesses work from the top down, a thread. I'd say open the schools but they aren't helping when they push people forward through grade levels when they're very clearly unprepared. I don't have any love for Elon Muskrat, the man that is secretly 12-to-24 Muskrats in a trenchcoat, but I don't have to to understand that if you start a business, you also hire people to do the work for you. They get paid to do those things. You say "they barely get paid" and... If they're not happy they can walk? I've quit tech jobs for less than being unhappy with pay. Do I think Elon should have that kind of money? Fuck no. No one should. But I'm also not going to sperg out about it.
This literally shows workers doing all the work lol

I've quit tech jobs for not liking the CEO of the company, or it's investors. If SpaceX/Tesla employees were not happy with their work or their pay, they are not indentured servants and can/should just leave. If the company I work for has been invested in by a group with "rock" in the name, I just go elsewhere. I'm not a slave to the company I work for, and neither are the people who work for Elon. Look at the reviews for SpaceX and Tesla on Glassdoor, and you'll find negative reviews, but both companies still attract plenty of talent because of what these companies want to do, the pay for their roles, and... Some people would argue the prestige behind the names. The guy is still very much not human though.

Blue check bot account at it again. If she weren't a clanker, I'd have to point back and say something nonsensical like "if a girl is over 25 and still goes on shopping sprees for hours every weekend, that is a major red flag. Grow up and get a real hobby and stop being bad with your money." Your hobbies are real to you. That's the fucking point.

My suggestion to developers and publishers is to stop inflating budgets tbh.

Console warriors!!! You better do your job!! This doesn't even include the marketing budget! This needs to sell at least 7m copies to break even!

The Civil War was fought with different weapons, by very different people than the people we have today. Men who fought in the civil war then weren't nearly as pussified as the gen pop today. At least 2 enjoys target practice and crazy shit. It's like picking a fight with a roided out meth-head. Good luck.
We already ran this scenario during the civil war and area #2 lost, numbnuts

Hard agree on this post. I don't agree with Blu that often, either. I don't know what this person was thinking. The only two games that come even close, and still aren't it, are Warframe and Div2. Neither are as engaging, as good, or as fun as Destiny 2. Not a single one outshines. I remember when The Division was looked at prerelease as a "Destiny killer" and it didn't do anything to Destiny. Fun game though.

I laughed after this person blocked me. Cause wtf is this list? Most of these are third person None of these have intricate raids and dungeons. Or secrets like destiny. None of these have a Crucible like mode where you can take loot from anywhere in the game to play PvP. A lot of these are not mmo like games like destiny is. I don’t even know why helldivers, deep rock, and fallout 76 was even mentioned. THERE IS NO REPLACEMENT FOR DESTINY!!!! #WeWantDestiny3 #SaveDestiny !!!!

If I were "wrong and cope" then why block? Surely you could back up your argument with facts and logic. Surely you could tell us how this developer vibe coded his game and generated all his assets too? But you can't. Because he didn't. The only thing wrong and cope is your opinion. My opinion is you should have been swallowed.

In 1995 I had a computer that was running Windows 95. A Packard Bell machine that had a 40mb hard drive in it. Forty. Megabytes. And some Intel processor I forget. Pretty sure it was pentium, but who knows. I was still a kid. I didn't care about anything except playing PC games, emulation of SNES and NES games (and GB when that became a thing) and getting into chatrooms on anime sites like the ol' GingaGriGri, I think it was spelled. AOL was fun too, later on, for a walled garden. I'd love to go back to then. Things were so simple compared to now. I genuinely believe social media like FB, Insta, Snap, TikTok, Twitter, etc all had a big hand in ruining society, and destroying the mysticism of the Internet itself.
Es 1995. Te despiertas. No hay Wi-Fi. No tienes celular. No tienes computadora. No hay Facebook/Instagram/TikTok/X ¿Qué es lo primero que haces?

Hey cis person here: both are bad, actually. We shouldn't be doing anything like this to children. We should leave them alone, even.
cis people: "you want to convince our children to chop their penises off!: also cis people to their 3 day old male children:

Why? Because they're different equations. Similar, but different. PEMDAS/BODMAS, you multiply first. This means, on the left: 300x2=600 600 100=700. On the right: 100x2=200 200 300=500. Of course it's just blue check engagement for dollars, so screenshot instead of share, because there's no way someone calling themselves an engineer of any kind wouldn't know this.

Largely agree, but wanted to drop in some opinions of my own. You say they "took Destiny money" to make Marathon, but that's not quite right. They took Sony's money. Sony had to greenlight this and allocate the funding. Destiny might have given Sony a bunch of money, but in the end, it's Sony's money, not Bungie's, to spread as they need. This is an important distinction, because it shuffles that from Bungie/Destiny to Sony. "Realistically the games been dead for a lot of people after the conclusion of the Light and Dark saga." 100%. You can see the numbers drop pretty clearly after that point, and it's the general sentiment of a lot of people who have either moved on to Marathon, or are off to play something else entirely (Warframe, the Division, etc) To outsiders, this infighting seems crazy. It's pathetic, and it's sad. Hell, even to a lot of people inside the community, it's pathetic and sad. We all want to be heard, we all want Destiny 3, but there's nothing wrong with packing it up and moving on too. I like both Destiny and Marathon. I've had someone random queue with me and ask the team what they thought, and when I said "Marathon's pretty good, actually. Has a lot of issues, but it's a good game overall" he went completely psychotic and screaming about how we're traitors for playing Marathon and we're killing Destiny... Do these people not see how crazy they sound when they do things like this? Of course not. They're either behaving on emotion, or they're just taking action because their favorite grifter told them "Marathon bad, it's at fault for Destiny's death" when that's just not the full truth. Your take is a valid, salient take. Wrong fight, wrong people. I said it after the Final Shape wrapped up in a Deep Stone Lullaby video that we shouldn't cry because it's over, we should smile because it happened. We made a lot of friends along the way. All things have an end, but your memories live on as long as you can remember them.
Y’all really going to love me for this one… In my opinion, what needs to happen is that the everyone needs to stfu. You guys have very few things to logically hate about Marathon. Yes it was a small (in the grand scheme) part of what burned down our home. Yes they took Destiny money to make Marathon, yes they took Destiny devs to help make Marathon, and so on and so on, I get it. Realistically the games been dead for a lot of people after the conclusion of the Light and Dark saga. After all it was the end of our current story that has spanned across 13 years now. That’s where the game should’ve ended and the incubation period for D3 should’ve started. However, due to poor executive decisions, car collections, and the rich getting richer, the game has been doomed for a while. While I understand that a lot of people, myself included, called this place their home. After a while it gets stale, it’s the reason you move your rooms around or your setup around because you feel like it’s boring and needs something new. That’s the case with Destiny. In the near future, people will move on from this game to other games or move on from gaming entirely. Although be it sad, it’s the truth. A lot of us started this journey either as kids that are now young adults, or young adults that are starting to settle down. To rip and tear each other apart over something we all have little to no control over is truly astonishing. I wish I could see this all, without any knowledge of Bungies or its communities, to truly see how pathetic all this arguing and fighting has been. Yes I want us to be heard, I want Destiny 3 to happen, but logically there’s a point where we need to move on. To new stories, new adventures, new friends, new games, or new hobbies. Stop waging war on each other because you let fucking numbers on a screen dictate what you think is a good game or not. Objectively, Marathon is a good game. I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, with it being an extraction shooter game, but that’s fine. I’m not gonna force you to play it, nor will I try to force my opinions upon you. But factually, we need to ALL start getting along, or nether of the communities win. Then all of this just becomes a fleeting memory of the good ol’ days. Look, I know a lot of people aren’t going to read this all the way through. Some are going to comment a “We want Destiny 3” meme and be on with their day, some will have reactions based off emotion, others will agree/disagree, but I appreciate those that take the time to look at this as a whole. -Crim

Very easily. Windows, for all of it's bullshit and issues, is a lot more user friendly than Linux is, even on it's easiest distros. Features like this are really cool, and Linux is very lightweight and snappy, which is what we all want... But a lot of entertainment relies on the Windows kernel. From the Technical Support perspective, your average user doesn't want to worry about anything. They just want to turn the computer on and use it. Linux, for all of it's good, does have a lot of pain points for regular, non-tech minded folk who still exist in high numbers. This stuff is very cool. I think everyone should try it (dualboot or vm if you aren't sure/not ready to commit) but the question "how can you choose Windows over Linux" is very easily answered by ease of use and the fact that everything you actually want to use is compatible. Linux has compatibility layers you can use (proton, wine, etc) but a lot of people are NOT looking to do all that. They just wanna double click and go on with the day.
How can people be choosing windows over this

Same thing "you people" (see what I did there?) talk about men. Wdym meal ticket, dick appointment, ATM, etc. Everyone's disgusting. You get stuck behind the 8-ball, you'll never get out in front.
The way you people talk about women is disgusting. Wdym "free hole"?

Logged onto Destiny 2 to see how things are... Was greeted with the Renegades intro mission and was like "hell yeah, apparently I have the DLC!" Well... I don't. And when I realized that, I quickly logged back off. I just can't get it right now, so there's not much reason to play.

In the right Discord servers, I'm unhinged. Especially when I make fun of monsterfuckers.

I'm not a believer, I'm not even Christian anymore, but this statement is rooted in bad faith (pun intended) argumentation. If we are to take the "word of God" at face value, he did not create perfect beings, nor did he intend for us to live in a paradise post apple. Once kicked from the Garden, that "perfect, utopian paradise" that he created in the Garden of Eden was no longer ours to have. Now we have everything else, and it's ugliness to go with it. We were not perfectly created, and so we get "child cancer" and other illnesses and problems, some of which by the way, are of our own making because we were also given free will for that Divine Comedy. The Christian God is nothing if not without a dark sense of humor. Humans are greedy, vile creatures who fight each other for what the other has. That's why we have Mussolini's and Hitlers that have existed. Ghengis Khan. Endless wars for territory and resources. The amount of life on this planet is bound to give rise to disease, and when we work on cures, we also synthesize new problems to be dealt with later. God is not "kind" in the sense that you or I can perceive. His Kindness apparently is that we are here at all, to live the lives we live, to do the things we do. To us, God has no passion, no love, and no care. An absentee father to a flock he gave up on until he supposedly had his "only begotten son" Jesus Christ die on the cross for your sins and mine for all eternity. A completely unnecessary thing, if you think about it, since he can just hand wave it and just say "fine, I forgive you of your sins and I'm sorry for being a hardass." But we can't know a God's works because we are just mortals who live short lives on the cosmic scale. So yes. Evil people did and do exist. Bad things do happen. We can shake our fist and say "if God were kind, he would not make us suffer so" but man, if you were reading a book and there was no conflict in it whatsoever, would you think it was a good book? I wouldn't. Gotta have the bad shit to feel it when the good shit happens too. You can be mad at invisible guys in the sky, but that doesn't absolve you of anything, least of all your desire to argue in bad faith that something doesn't exist or isn't worth believing in purely because you're jilted. I have never once had a Christian knock at my door to spread the word. I've seen Mormons though, and they are not the same thing. Happy pride month. I hope that you can find your happiness and your peace. You are valid. You deserve to exist. You deserve to be left alone, and no one has any right to tell you who you can love.
Don’t forget the existence of Hitler, child cancer, slavery and unnecessary suffering. He also made those too. What a kind god.

Log in to Marathon for Season 2. First game: Can't connect. Second game: Can't connect. Third game: Can't connect. Fourth game: Connected, DC'ed 3 minutes later. Fifth game: Can't connect. Sixth-Ninth game: Can't connect. Tenth game: Connected, DC'ed 10 minutes later. Come on, @MarathonTheGame. Don't buy your servers on Temu and stop doing a Bungo. I was looking forward to S2. Now back to @HuntShowdown because while their servers suck, I don't get DC'ed every game.

It'd be crazy if tomorrow's state of play reveals Destiny 3 or something and all this shit was just to drum up press. That'd be a genius move, in an emotionally manipulative way.

As someone who got spanked/experienced corporal punishment as a child... At no point were my pants dropped for this? And I didn't get it on the ass, either. I don't think this has been done for more than sixty years now. And I don't believe that sexual abuse is okay, either, but go off I guess. What this tells me is that if this happened to you, you had weird parents. Mine talked first, slapped if I wasn't getting the message. Except my dad, who liked to make sure that I understood that fear=respect, which never worked for me because I always understood the inverse that fear does not = respect, it equals resentment. Resentment he had to spend 10 years of my child's life trying to make up to me after he decided with grandkids he'd chill the fuck out and be a normal human being. And then he died right after I forgave him.
Spanking children is a sure way to teach them that sexual abuse is okay. There is nothing normal about pulling down the pants of child and hitting them in the behind while they scream no and try to get away. You’re teaching them that no matter how loud they scream and how much they cry and try to get away that they have to just take it. See how that mimics rape. And even worse, parents will tell their kids “I love you” right after. Teaching children that their abusers can love them still. Then people will deadass have the nerve to be confused as to why adults get into abuse cycles that literally mimic the same abuse that their parents inflicted upon them.

To expand on this, pre-20th century and the earlier modern era, bare-bottom spanking was actually very common in both house AND school environments in lots of cultures, even in Europe and America. My mother and father experienced this in schools, for instance. Well before my time. During the mid 20th century, from the 1940's til around the 70's when there was a shift, corporal punishment was a widespread adopted thing, and many Americans approved of spanking, and a lot of kids experienced it. But the method varied. A lot of people experienced it with their clothes on because their parents were not weird. Draconian parents would do this pants-down/bare-bottom, with belts, paddles, switches (go'on pick yer own switch out that thar yard now y'hear?) and whatever else they could get their hands on. It was often paired with doing it in public as a humiliation ritual. During this time, clothed punishment out in public was *also* humiliating, and generally accepted. We can see a decline in corporal punishment from the 70's into the 90's, but it's not much of one. Growing up in the 90's, I got it often and there was one instance where my mom pulled me out of school by my ear for being a jackass... In 2001. Around this period, some countries banned this sort of thing (Sweden in 79) and a rise in child psychology research and anti-corporal punishment advocacy brought a broader shift toward gentler parenting, but spankings/corporal punishment was still a thing. If bare-bottom happened post 90's, it was extremely rare, and it was stigmatized over time as child abuse... Which it is, and was, and could very well explain why I never saw it, never heard of it happening outside of cartoons. Now we have a broader view of gentle parenting and the psychology backs it up, but some parents still use some form of mild spanking. So yes, you're right that it is indeed a form of sexual abuse, and there is some reasons to compare it to rape culture later in life, but I just don't see this as a thing people were/are doing, even now when people in my age group were growing up. Millennial by the way.
