Let's go back to drought please.
Never good when the GRAF model starts lobbing 15-20" rainfall hot spots of over the next 48-72 hours. Weather Prediction Center's new numbers are higher as well...most of this falls between Tuesday and tapering by Friday, with Tuesday - Thursday having the highest potential for most widespread flooding somewhere in Louisiana. Given the WPC Forecast and Latest GRAF we can say in Acadiana rainfall totals will range from 3-6" from St Mary Parish to 5-10" farther to the north and west....most of this comes by Thursday. And statistically there could be isolated amounts double the WPC estimates (which is what we're seeing in the GRAF on this run). The WPC has leveled up with their excessive rainfall outlooks putting much of the state in a slight to moderate risk (levels 2 & 3 out of 4) for potential flooding through the end of the week. Of course the estimates will change, in some cases drastically from one model run to the next, but the GRAF has rarely steered us wrong when red-flagging a potential flood event in the summer tropics. Will post this morning's GRAF Model run in the comments below...hope we see lower numbers in the afternoon run. #lawx

Another thing people can learn from Louisiana: How to celebrate championships by not rioting!
10 injured NYPD officers. 4 slashing/stabbings. 5 school buses set on fire. 5 damaged police cars. Details on the aftermath of the Knicks title celebration in NYC ⬇️

Tulane OF Jason Wachs has committed to #LSU out of the portal, he announced on social media. Wachs hit 9 homers with a 1.027 OPS this past season. Had as many walks as strikeouts. Left-handed bat who mostly played RF for the Green Wave.

The heavy rain & flood threat is increasing along the I-10 corridor from Texas to the Florida Panhandle as the Gulf disturbance interacts with an old front next week. Name or no name the impact is RAIN. Isolated totals could exceed 6-10 ” in spots. #tropicalupdate 🌀🌧️☔️

Well then.
They just led an elephant through the @TexasGOP convention and it took a giant pee right near the press area.

That's not a weakness anymore.
Source confirms: Cade Kurland is also pulling his name out of the draft and is coming to #LSU. The Tigers probably have their infield for next season. 3B: Dawson Park SS: Steven Milam 2B: Cade Kurland 1B: Mason Braun

Played LSU tough early in the season in Baton Rouge.
Three-run home run to center field makes it 10-0 Milwaukee in the fourth inning Are we sure Auburn got the Milwaukee Panthers and not the Milwaukee Brewers?

I only read Jeff Duncan books so this is good news for me.
If you see me in Baton Rouge more over the next 12 months, this is why. Very excited about this project...

Interesting. LSU gets a big boost here with baseball, I’m sure.
Which schools get the most fans at games (or at least sells the most tickets?) Some interesting findings when tallying the TOTAL CUMULATIVE ATTENDANCE over the last 3 seasons for all sports where that's tracked (link in replies with attendance data for ALL FBS schools): -Only 4 sports eclipsed 9M total fans (or ~3M/yr) over those 3 seasons: Football (108M), Men's Basketball (47M), Baseball (24M), & Women's Basketball (20M). Football itself accounts for 47% of total attendance, with Men's Basketball coming in 2nd place at ~21%... there's a reason those are the clear two "revenue sports" among college -Nebraska smoked everyone in Women's Volleyball at 619K (Wisc & Hawaii were 2nd & 3rd with 378K & 303K respectively) -Hawaii has had 425K fans at Men's Volleyball games since 2023 (BYU was a distant 2nd at ~180K) -A LOT of fans go to Men's Hockey games, but the national leader, North Dakota at 729K, isn't an FBS school. Three Big Ten schools are 2nd-4th with Wisconsin (593K), Minnesota (574K) & Penn St (407K). Non-FBS schools represent 7.0M in total Hockey attendance while FBS schools only represent 4.6M -Wisconsin (131K) and Minnesota (127K) also get a lot of fans for their Women's Hockey games, but no other program exceeded 54K (Men's Hockey has over 10X the Women's attendance) -Bama (325K) edged out OU (320K) in Softball -In-state rivalry in Men's Soccer was taken by South Carolina at 134K over 2nd place Clemson at 109K. -BYU (124K) barely edged out South Carolina (123K) in Women's Soccer -Syracuse led nationally for both Men's and Women's Lacrosse at 163K & 58K respectively. -Utah (194K) topped LSU (189K) for Women's Gymnastics -Iowa packs the house for Men's Wrestling at 303K and Penn St was a distant 2nd at 178K. -Overall results skew heavily towards big baseball schools in the south. LSU, Arkansas & Miss St have all eclipsed the 1M fans cumulative fans a their BB games in the last 3 yrs. Even Southern Miss, East Carolina, Louisiana, & Hawaii have tallied between 350-500K fans (Climate plays a role too...many SEC schools avg 35-41 home games per year, while northern schools like Penn St, Utah and BYU avg only 21-22)

SEC tournament semifinal on Saturday night, and there’s a sea of open seats at the Met. Without LSU, it’s missing the juice.
