Here at the LA CaTS Center, we 💙 highlighting our past funded investigators, their success, and important research impacting chronic disease in our state. Congrats to Dr. Rebello! 👏 #translationalTuesday #IDeACTR #IDeAImpact #CTResearchers #ObesityResearch
Dr. Candida Rebello recently joined @brianhaldane on @talk1073 to discuss her new five-year, $3.7 million #NIH grant supporting research at Pennington Biomedical. Her upcoming study will explore sarcopenic obesity, a condition affecting nearly one-third of adults over 60 that combines low muscle mass with excess body fat. “This condition is often overlooked,” Dr. Rebello shared. “People don’t realize they can have obesity and still suffer from low muscle quality and strength.” Learn more: talk1073.com/2026/04/24/penn… #PBRCResearch #HealthyAging #ObesityResearch #Solutions #CellsToSociety
