The AURIGA (ArmoURed Infantry Ground Assault) project, an initiative for the development of the next-generation infantry vehicle, officially kicks off. The project, run by the consortium of the same name led by Leonardo, includes 48 companies from 18 European countries. The initiative is now in the phase of studying new enabling technologies, through the collection of operational requirements from all the Ministries of Defence involved and the identification of capability needs. The 36-month project is among the projects co-founded by the European Defence Fund (
#EDF), which has allocated €25 million to it.
