So you've managed to carve out a stronghold from the wilderness, what now? Here's my understanding drawn from #BROSR Patron Domain experience using AD&D 1e. castleport.blogspot.com/2022…

Fire Giants: 11 2-5 HD. Why Gary, why!? In G3, Hall of the Fire Giant King, it just lists the giants' hp and not hd in most cases: so how am I supposed to know!

I guess, just roll a d4 for each one at the start of an encounter; 1-2 means 11HD & 3-4 means 12HD.

Mr Wargaming is on fire!
Baby poopy talk. Meaningless drivel that sounds really profound if you don't stop to think about it. It's not an argument because it's so obviously devoid of content. But dullards think it's a kill shot because it contains a kernal of truth. 🧵, but short

"I should give my players Lightning Bolt scrolls."
Replying to @Kairho71
No, it goes its full stroke until it's exhausted the number of inches it would have to travel. The magic-user (who should've known better; she talks about her D&D chops a lot) cast it directly in front of her - not that moving it out would've helped. So zot-zot-zot dead party. 11d6, 35 points or 18 points depending.

"The game's core mechanism - the GM" So when I buy a TTRPG, I'm not buying a game. I'm buying a GM!?
TTRPGs are unique in that the rules are secondary to the participants' sense of flow. The game's core mechanism - the GM - has the ability to alter anything within the game environment at any time. Good GMs use this to match the game more precisely to the group's goals.

What happens when I can't think of a title? Does @Bdubs1776 returning to his Elfy ways hold chaotic potential for #Umbros? Do I get blasted for handing out more treasure? What's going to happen if this Monk has to train? And will the #Heldelvers ever trust a brain case again?

In the Grand Finals of the #EnGarde Grand Dueling Championship of 1626. First-Noire, having survived the gauntlet of the Losers Bracket would challenge the mightyThe Giant Athos. It was aback and forth, dramatic, nerve wracking contest but in the end…🧵
In the #EnGarde Losers Final of the Grand Dueling Championship, @LL_929 Flashy Harman would face his longtime drinking buddy Foret-Noire, except he was piloted by a different t player this time in @HootOwl86 🧵

This week we held the Grand Dueling Championship of 1626 in the #EnGarde campaign. The Winners, Losers, and Grand Finals were particularly compelling. @LL_929 Flashy Harman took on heavily favored Athos. But he had a tick up his sleeve. Would it work? 🧵

youtu.be/PwVLwbIzXZ4?si=f2Bb… Debunked by the The Autarch himself.
Forgoing a Charisma die roll because of a player's monologue is no different than forgoing a Search roll because the player specifically described trying to unscrew the bed post while searching for a secret compartment. Both are signs of engaged players and should be rewarded.

The #EnGarde Grand Dueling Championship has been thrilling so far. We have four men remaining all in varying degrees of injury to body and spirit.
