The thoughtfully designed apartments come in various sizes, including studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom units. The ground floor features retail spaces, bike storage, and activated lobby space. It was a beautiful day in Pendleton last Friday as we celebrated the Grand Opening of South Hill Commons! This community features 70 affordable housing units spread across four residential buildings, a group home, and a centrally located community building. The community building houses a multi-purpose room, kitchen, and meeting space. Outdoors, residents can enjoy raised garden beds, a play area, and picnic seating scattered throughout the property. Powellhurst Place is a new 65-unit affordable housing community developed by Northwest Housing Alternatives, situated in the Powellhurst-Gilbert neighborhood of outer SE Portland. Powellhurst Place features 46 two-bedroom units geared towards families and 12 units dedicated to permanent supportive housing for individuals who are experiencing houselessness. The complex features amenities such as a community room, a playground, a landscaped courtyard, secure bicycle storage, Energy Star appliances, and ductless mini-split heating and cooling systems. Residents will benefit from on-site property management and tailored support services provided by Northwest Housing Alternatives and the Native American Rehabilitation Association.
