The Serbian Orthodox Church won a precedent setting ruling at SCOTUS involving the Religious Abstention Doctrine in the 1970s and recently a Ukrainian Orthodox mother, Svitlana Roman, was one of the plaintiffs in the precedent setting Mahmoud vs Taylor that helped affirm parents fundamental Constitutional rights to the care, custody, and control over their children and their First Amendment religious liberties.
Orthodox Christians have had an outsized impact on American law and we can continue to do so, with God as our help.

Because the fear of man still makes other people's verdict the sun your entire life orbits around. You're not strutting anymore, you're trembling, but look where the self is sitting: dead center in the frame, same as ever. We saw pride and shame were twins back on Day 5, and this is the same trick again. What others think of you has simply climbed onto the throne that belongs to God.

Here's what hides underneath the niceness. People-pleasing wears the costume of serving others, but more often it's serving yourself through them. You're not really seeking their good; you're managing their opinion to secure your own comfort, your own approval, your own safety. The humility is a strategy, and the strategy is about you.

My sister has Down's Syndrome.
They have the same emotional range as everyone else. I am convinced they tend to be happier because western society has collectively decided to both shield them from the evils of the world, and give them VIP status everywhere they go.
