The Sauti ya Mwanamke project has significantly advanced access to justice for women, girls, and marginalized groups by addressing systemic barriers, including complex legal procedures and associated costs. Through the training of 4,406 formal and informal leaders (57% women) on GBV prevention and response, the project facilitated 6,825 GBV interventions, with a growing recognition of psychological and economic violence as pervasive yet underreported challenges. Nationwide, the Improved Access to Justice for Women in Tanzania project by LSF provided vital legal aid to 26,451 marginalized individuals, with a significant 59% of them being women. These services included direct legal support, paralegal outreach, mobile legal aid clinics, and public education on rights and justice processes. By extending access to both urban and remote communities, the project enhanced legal literacy, strengthened grassroots justice systems, and empowered more individuals to report gender-based violence (GBV) and seek redress. LSF joined national actors in Dodoma to launch the Gender Transformative Action Programme “Inspire To Lead” campaign. LSF participated in the high-level launch of the Gender Transformative Action Programme (GTAP) “Inspire To Lead” campaign, led by the Ministry of Community Development, Gender, Women and Special Groups in partnership with the European Union. The campaign is a national call to action aimed at transforming systems, policies, and leadership norms to promote gender equality, amplify women’s leadership, and increase accountability in the delivery of gender-related services.
