A plastic turf field wears out after only 8ish years, each time generating a literal mountain of plastic waste.
There’s no evidence that any facility in the U.S. is recycling it at scale.
And many landfill operators won’t accept it.
Where does all this plastic waste go??
A company promising to recycle plastic turf has failed.
It collected lots of money & used plastic turf carpets and then…
declared bankruptcy.
Taxpayers now responsible for the clean-up of THOUSANDS OF TONS OF PLASTIC WASTE.
Destination: landfills.

2” of rain on top of all the snow we got plus warming freeze cycles ahead is a bad combo for ice build up. Putting out black sand to help us melt it down to the turf. Almost spring! #noicedamagein2026!

What a storm! A final 4-27" of snow on Thu brings the final 4-day storm totals to 5-9 feet! The Snow Lab and the ski areas as a whole jumped back up to 100% of the 55 year snowfall average for the date. Amazing storm.

2-4 feet of snow fell in the last 24 hrs as of 5 AM Wed morning. That brings the 3-day totals to 4-6 feet so far, with more snow coming later Wed into Thu. A big jump as some ski areas are now near their average for the date, and around 90% of avg as a whole!

Added another Ceora to the fleet! We now have 3 Ceoras that now all but 3 fairways, and 10 550’s that mow various rough areas. @GreenSightAg

Some greatly needed upgrades! Old “self “cleaning” intake. Did not self clean anymore was replaced. Also trying out the LG sonic E-line for the pond. It’s transmits ultra sonic waves that are supposed to keep algae from coming to the surface to bloom!
