Just seeing this. There are good people in my old SID business and then there is Kenny. Just the model of what and SID should be all around both in the personal and printed form. Hoping he pulls through whatever it is. 🤞🏻
Prayers to good friend and retired Louisville SID Kenny Klein (@KKcards) who suffered a medical emergency yesterday and is being cared for at a Louisville hospital. Kenny has been a special assistant with Rick Pitino’s basketball program at St. John’s for past 2 years. Great guy.

Interesting statistical correlation. On one hand, you’d think scoring the first run of an eight-team double elimination tournament is completely irrelevant. It’s partly just scheduling quirks. On the other, the law of averages says that team should have won 5-6 titles since 1983.
A bad omen for West Virginia? No team has scored the first run of Game 1 and gone on to win the MCWS since Texas in 1983.

The Spurs know how to TAKE the lead, they just don't know how to HOLD the lead. And that's really the most important part of the lead: the holding

An analogy that I often make when describing a champion doing champion things is Secretariat at the Belmont. If you’re not familiar, this is what it looked like.
Today in 1973, the greatest horse race in history was run. Secretariat won the Belmont Stakes by 31 lengths to become the Triple Crown winner and set a world record time that has never been beaten! 🎥: CBS Broadcast

Great way to visually show how unpredictable college baseball can be!
You want an 𝚒𝚗𝚜𝚊𝚗𝚎 stat? Of the 31 Division I Baseball Conference/Division favorites this year, not a single one made the Super Regionals. The 9 that did make the NCAA's combined for an 8-18 record in the Tournament and only 3 even made a Regional Final.

The thing I’ve been wondering is whether the Bears have ever asked the city about the selling price for Soldier Field since so much of their understandable frustration with the facility is not being able to keep enough of the revenue? Could they get it cheap and make upgrades?
Sen. Bill Cunningham, D-Chicago, tells me that Bears President Kevin Warren called him this morning and told him they were putting out the statement about moving forward in Hammond. But... Cunningham added this: "He also said he looks forward to continuing discussions with me."

💯 Miami Gardens Dolphins? Arlington Cowboys? Santa Clara 49ers? East Rutherford Jets? East Rutherford Giants? Orchard Park Bills? I just don’t get the angst about this one. It’s not like they are going to Fort Wayne. Plenty of teams play in a suburb, and those are just the NFL’s
Genuinely asking was there this big of an uproar when the Giants and Jets moved to New Jersey Or when the San Francisco 49ers moved an hour outside of San Fran Or when the Dallas Cowboys moved to Arlington

Crazy how many people are freaking out over it. Hammond is closer to the loop than their other proposed to site in Arlington. Cincinnati could move half a mile and be in Kentucky. The Jets and Giants don’t play in New York. The Chiefs are moving to Kansas. No big deal to me?

I smile whenever I see Rosenblatt Stadium. I really do. Can only imagine what it meant for Creighton to win a CWS game there and upset the No. 2 seed as well.

Yeah, pretty much encapsulates the college sports world we live in these days.
Imagine having to explain to someone seeing Wazzu vs Oregon St in Eugene that this is not a Pac 12 Tournament game, but an NCAA Regional of a Mountain West team vs an Independent team at a Big Ten stadium.

The 10th No. 1 vs. No. 2 @NCAALAX championship game since 2001 and No. 1 is just 5-4 so it should be another dandy today for Northwestern & UNC. Rehearsing now and on the ESPN mothership at noon ET with @jaltersports, @StanwickBurch, @charlotten8rth and Annabelle Hasselbeck.

When they finish this bracket and give out the real women’s @NCAALAX trophy, will Northwestern be the first team to win it at home since 1986 or will North Carolina avenge only loss of the past two years? Find out at noon ET on ESPN. It was 17-16 in OT in March so should be fun!

tip of the cap to Kevin Corrigan and this staff. You lost your top 5 points leaders from last year, your top faceoff man, one of your top midfielders in Jordan Faison, graduated your last Kavanagh and STILL made it back to Championship Monday.
