WESTERN REEF HERON - dark morph. First ever UK record. Foryd Bay, Caernafron, Wales. Fairly close on arrival, but flew and not close again whilst we were there. Been here since 6th, but some reports say the day before. Hope it stays so more can appreciate it. With @LEEDSTILIDIE1
WHITE-WINGED SCOTER. After very distant views yesterday, had a search for it again this morning. Found on Pathead Sands Beach, Kirkcaldy, Scotland, around 9am. Feel blessed to have got so lucky. It thinks it is an Eider @RareBirdAlertUK@BirdGuides

Great early morning out on Budby Common, before it got too hot. Lovely to see the Woodlarks. Weird to see a number of naked men, having forgotten this is a Naturism hotspot π«£With @stevengthomps62
Always a great Yorkshire morning when there is a Wood Warbler only 14 miles from home happy to sing to me constantly and then later catch up with Redstart and Spotted Flycatcher close by. With @LEEDSTILIDIE1 and @stevengthomps62
Take a look at those red combs on this male Red Grouse. Endemic to Britain and Ireland. Saw a good number this morning on Embsay Moor, North Yorkshire.
Roller & Black-headed bunting from this morning. A superb 2 weeks holiday in Cyprus. Not a birding holiday but always find the time & have seen so much. Many thanks to @AndersG2211 for the excellent guiding, he comes highly recommended #Cyprusbirds#birdingcyprus#birdsaroundcy
A very noisy Great spotted cuckoo at Agia Varvara this morning. Unlike the common cuckoo, the chick does not expel the hosts eggs & in Cyprus the most common hosts are Magpies and Hooded Crows. Amazingly some species benefit from having the cuckoo chick in their nest #Cyprusbirds
Really lucked out with this Little bittern at Agia Varvara this morning. Posed beautifully for at least 5 minutes. Wonderful bird. With @AndersG2211#Cyprusbirds#birdingcyprus
Despite seeing a number of these in the last week, they have mostly been seen flying away and are very skittish, so very pleased to see this today near Paphos sewage works with @AndersG2211#CyprusBirds#birdingcyprus
