Happy Birthday Loïs Mailou Jones! 🎂Born in #Boston & trained @SMFAatTufts, Jones was transformed by studying in Paris. She would teach generations of Black artists @HowardU for nearly 50 yrs. Her work was heavily influenced by Haiti & Africa; she spent her early yrs @LWCSBoston.
