Our study in ACS Chem Biol reveals a unique eunicellane pathway featuring a reductase fused with a terpene cyclase, a P450 split into 3 fragments and a hypothetical protein with dual isomerase and oxygenase functions!

Bacteria are talented producers of #diterpenes. We screened 334 terpene synthases: doi.org/10.26434/chemrxiv-20…. New skeletons, new stereoisomers, terpenes known in other organisms but new to bacteria. A massive team effort led by Xiuting Wei and Wenbo Ning! @UFChemistry
