Hola Howard, Un gusto saludarte nuevamente. Es un trabajo muy bonito. Quisiera hacerte un par de preguntas si me lo permites: a) ¿Por qué no usar un yodiro de arilo? ¿Que ventajas tienes sobre utilizarlo en lugar de transformar la anilina a la sal de diazonio?

El grupo fosfonato se hidroliza bajo condiciones un poco más drásticas, por ejemplo, el uso de HBr o HCl a reflujo. También se podría hidrolizar utilizando TMSBr. Espero haber resuelto tu duda.

Hi! Thanks for the question. The reaction also works with other methoxy-aryl iodine compounds, but the best result was obtained with the one in the poster. The nucleophile can be different, but the reaction conditions are still not optimised for other alcohols

Thank you for asking @LabSolorio. Through serendipity, we stumbled upon this project while researching asymmetric hydrogenations with iridium. We are now dedicated to optimizing the process to achieve high enantioselectivities.
