This is getting a lot of attention, so I have to chime in from a teacher perspective. We do know. That’s part of what’s so frustrating. We wish the kids knew we truly want them to succeed.

Currently doing 90% of this! Helped a friend purge her room closet last week.
end of year decluttering checklist: - clean your room (WASH YOUR SHEETS) - clean your closet (be ruthless) - clean your phone (delete apps exes) - clean social media profiles (unfollow unfriend without guilt!) - reorganize your bookshelf/makeup/whatever accumulates

Self-care is VITAL. And not “let’s do a face mask” self care. I’m talking taking medications, eating well, and resting WITHOUT feeling guilty for the rest.

I’m not even autistic and I still struggle with this. You’re not alone, friend.
How long do you make eye contact with strangers before it gets creepy? Do you even go for it? If you're talking to them, can you take breaks? Do you blink, or what? What is right and proper, my autism didn't come with a manual In conclusion: eye contact is the worst

The Lord has been sharing with me that bread is no good unless it is broken…if we are to share ourselves with those around us, then - brokenness is required.

a list of things we, as a society, need to stop “shh-ing” — babies fussing laughter people crying others asking questions lengthy storytelling explanations others volume of singing it’s life, it’s happiness. you probably talk too loud, most times. be graceful. lean into it!!
