The TV was a shared experience. We all gathered around the TV like a digital campfire. We all consumed the same content. We were much more on the same page as a collective society than today. Today everyone is in their own algorithmic echo chambers which are isolating and increasingly niche. Back then we came together. Fewer options. More community.

Echo chambers are created by the biased algorithm controlling content reach.
But what's the best way to counter this? It might be pretty simple.
Use pagination. The most recent posts/reposts get shown first. No partiality, no unfair mechanism.
Bleep! brings that. @BleepAppHQ
The algorithm is not neutral, it is trained on your reactions. It learns what spikes you, then feeds you more of it, because spikes keep you online. Stop rewarding what disturbs you and the feed loses grip.
