I've had a few people ask if the giveaways I perform are legitimate or if they're just some sort of engagement bait. The giveaways are real. Hundreds of people can attest to the free stuff they've received from myself or our sponsors (who give to me to give to others). This is my 3rd year doing it. It's every Holiday season. It's just educational or helpful stuff for nerds. It's all free and randomly chosen. Giving stuff for free is cool and badass and makes you feel warm inside. This year I'll be giving away books on malware, programming, network defense, and computer history. I also have TryHackMe thingies to giveaway. I also have some swag and stickers and stuff. Maybe more vendors will give me stuff to giveaway too, I don't know. We'll see! I'll post more details when they come up. Okay back to your regularly scheduled programming of cat pictures and malware

.@IceSolst made a satirical post about how their invention of "VSC" (Comma Separated Value, CSV backward) would improve LLM efficiency and replace JSON People on LinkedIn took it serious. Some posts exceed 7,000 likes. I'm going to kill myself

Holy shit they’ve LinkedInified my shitpost, including a medium article, and tons of ai hallucinated corpospeak, truly a cursed platform
BREAKTHROUGH: I have invented a novel object notation format that provides an additional 71% token savings over JSON and 59% over TOON. I have named it VSC (Values Separated by Comma), patent pending.

The most interesting and accurate technical responses on X come from anonymous accounts with cartoon profile pictures, pictures of toast or other generic items. The one with corporate headshots and ex-FAANG in their bios usually provide nothing of value.

📧 Years before Google made the name its own, “Gmail” lived on Garfield․com — a fan email service where users could snag their own @gmail․garfield․com address. It was email for people who hate Mondays. 🐾 It vanished like a pan of lasagne into Garfield’s belly… but its pawprints can still be seen on the #WaybackMachine ⤵️ web.archive.org/web/20000815… 🧵 #Wayback1T #WebHistory @Garfield

If only there was someone we could blame for creating task manager
A Windows 11 bug is duplicating Task Manager process when you use the 'X' close button to exit it. This means Task Manager won’t quit on Windows 11, sending each instance to background. It appears that the October 2025 optional update (Build 26200.7019/26100.7019, which released with new Start menu, accidentially broke Task Manager close button for some users (not everyone will run into this issue). If you're affected, don't use close button to close Task Manager, as it'll create ghost entries, which use your RAM and CPU. To exit Task Manager, use “End task” instead.

LLMs are injective and invertible. In our new paper, we show that different prompts always map to different embeddings, and this property can be used to recover input tokens from individual embeddings in latent space. (1/6)
