Working with the elderly brings to light the fact that sin is for sure the root problem. You'll find out that in retirement, they fill their lives with new stressors, and when you solve a stressor that they spend 8 hour shifts worrying about, they'll soon find a new stressor that was invisible before when they had the old stressor but now that they see it, it consumes them again. And if they were in their prime, these things would somehow make sense (?), but they're not in their prime, and you can see for certain that none of these things they worry about matter. And of course you can't say that. You have to be patient and attentive and ensure that they know it's real. If you say it's not real, you do damage.
If this can be more widely extrapolated onto the adult population, then it's true that we need to just relax, trust God, and pray earnestly that he reveal to us why we can let that heavy and all-consuming thing go. He takes care of the sparrows who he designed to collect twigs and worms: how much more does he care about the creatures he trusts to bear witness to the most high exalted, just lower than the angels
