If you read one letter to the editor this week, make it Connor Daine's in today's Star Tribune.
"With no gun control passed, my family and I breathe a sigh of relief. We've been in this state since it was a territory and wandered her great outdoors. I learned to shoot young, started hunting with my dad and family, taught my friends and brought them along, too. I have lawfully carried since I turned 21 and never had a violation, a complaint or issue."
"Under HF 5140 and similar bills, the rifles I hunt with would have been classified as a 'semiautomatic military-style assault weapon.' The handgun I carry to protect my family would have required registration, fees and had serious penalties if I failed to abide.
The magazines that shipped with it would have made me a multicount felon."
"I am exactly the Minnesotan the bill's authors said they were not targeting but would hit the hardest."
"The Minnesota House was right to reject this bill on May 14. Speaker Lisa Demuth was right to keep its Senate companion from a forced vote. These bills will undoubtedly return next session. Lawful Minnesotans will be ready."
This is what every MNGOC member is up against, and what every MNGOC member is fighting for. Print it. Hand it to your neighbor. Lend it to your legislator.

Protect Minnesota's Executive Director gave an interview to the Star Tribune.
She had something to say about you.
"People who vote on gun rights are a very, very small percentage of the population, and they're already aligned with the right side of the electorate."
She's not worried about you. She's not worried about your rights.
In her view, you're already written off; too small a group to matter, too predictable to bother with.
That's the mentality behind every gun control bill they pushed this session.
They lost. You won. And we're going to remind her what a "very, very small percentage" can do in November.

Very few people are being truthful about the Massie/Gallrein race on either side.
The truth is that Thomas Massie has made some legitimate missteps. Itโs completely justifiable to call this out.
In the same breath, people are holding Gallrein up as the solution when heโs just going to be another Lindsey Graham.
The truth is that neither of these are going to fit your ideal MAGA candidate, but stop pretending that Gallrein is an improvement.
Ed Gallrein is a massive downgrade with the information in front of us right now.
If legislators always vote with the President, we have a king.
If legislators always vote with the prevailing wind, we have mob rule.
If legislators always vote with the Constitution, we have a Republic.
If youโre voting against Massie for a dude that uses AI to write his posts, is too scared to debate, avoids press, and gets community noted in a majority of his postsโฆ
just because Trump told you toโฆ
I just feel sorry for you.
Your brain has been captured.
๐จ THOMAS MASSIE just said what MILLIONS are thinking out loud:
"When I endorsed him, I thought we wouldn't have a new war."
"I thought we would get warrants for FISA."
"I thought that MAHA would be front and center at HHS with Bobby Kennedy there."
"I thought we would end our involvement in the war in Ukraine."
"I thought we would release all the Epstein files and indict some of those SOBs."
"Those are all the things I'm still fighting for."
The ONLY guy in DC who actually MEANT it.
No new wars. Audit the spies. Release the files.
Don't tread on Massie. ๐ฆ ๐ง
Tim Walz and Jimmy Kimmel spent last night bromancing over hating law enforcement and laughing about taxpayers being defrauded to the tune of BILLIONS.
Just a vanity interview with two self-obsessed, out-of-touch men who think the world wants to hear from them. Tough watch.
๐จ JIMMY KIMMEL: Did it take a long time for you to know fraud was happening?
TIM WALZ: It happens in other states! Trump used it as an EXCUSE! It was perfect for him to do. Demonize the Somali community! We ARE a generous state!
Tim Walz should just resign. What a DISGRACE and SICK excuse for a governor!

No human being on planet Earth today has done more damage to race relations in America than Barrack Hussain Obama, and when he couldn't find enough racism in America to gaslight, he worked with the Southern Poverty Law Group to make it up!
Minnesotans lost $9B in taxpayer dollars to just 14 Medicaid programs under Tim Walzโs administration.
Today, every single Democrat in Rules Committee voted to block an investigation into that fraud.
Absolutely disgusting.
