šŸ’Æ they could've broken bread and been welcoming, they chose to antagonize
When I moved into my first house in Tennessee, my wife was pregnant. My Euro American neighbors came over one day and asked if I wanted a steak. The next week we had my son, and my neighbor's dad cut our yard. That's what I thought was Southern hospitality. When Karmelo went in the tent to get out the rain, someone said you can sit there. You would have thought Austin and Hunter would have had awareness of the conditions and asked Karmelo if he would like a drink and had a conversation about sports. Why is there a difference? It was the way they were raised to hate their neighbor.

šŸ’Æ, well said. Such a tragic situation all around
I really hope that Karmelo Anthony’s parents at some point sit down with their son and help him come to terms with the fact that he made the wrong choice using that knife. If they refuse to ever bring this to him, with love and honesty, then they are hurting him even more. The justice system aside, at a spiritual level, I don’t see how he could ever have peace within himself if he can’t accept that. I think he is a young man who was amped up, afraid, and made a reckless choice that he shouldn’t have. He pulled out a knife in the middle of a light pushing match over a bleacher seat during a chaperoned school event, where help was around if he needed it. He stabbed another child in the chest, before any punches were ever thrown. I hope that when his people are talking to him about how the justice system was harsh towards him (it was), how his community turned on him (they did), how the world judged him (it did), how the jury gave him more years than they might have done for another teenager (they did), how he was over-charged with intentional murder when it’s clear he didn’t think he’d caused serious harm (he was), that the justice system is historically built on racism (it was) — but that also, for the sake of Karmelo’s own spirit, that someone in his personal life is holding him accountable for killing Austin and altering both his own family & the Metcalf family’s life too. You only bring a knife out if you truly believe you’ll be killed or gravely injured. He knew Austin wasn’t about to kill him in front of everyone. But he took it to the next level anyways. He made the wrong choice.

Marc, Ive disagreed with some of your posts before. But this, is message hits the nail on the head. Just a tragic situation on all sides. As coaches, we hope our athletes make the right moves in these situations. So sad that wasn't the case here. Prayer for all. Thank u, Marc šŸ™šŸ¾
Karmelo Anthony I’m not gonna celebrate. One young man’s life gone, the other will be in prison. Yes, Karmelo deserves to be punished, but the fact that this created racial division is stupid. These are young athletes. As many of you know, I have coached kids just like both of these young men. We need to ask ourselves where society and the community went wrong. This is also why I coach - to hopefully help steer kids in the right direction to not commit an act like this. This is a tragedy.

RT @_LaJanee_: Wonder why Austin Metcalf didn’t go get a coach or an adult instead of asking Anthony to leave multiple times and pushing hi…

Love Myles, we've seen all his greatness but those of us who watch and love the Browns with all lf lie heart have seen this from him as well. Sad to see him go for sure, but happy with the return they got
I’m just gonna say it… On the single most important play in this franchise’s 27 year history, and the biggest snap of Myles Garrett’s career, he actually gave up on the play. #Browns

You got it WAY twisted homie. Your locker room views stay in the locker room. We can discuss, disagree, debate, etc within the locker room and all that STAYS in the locker room. But once you step out publicly, then I as your teammate have that same right. We shouldn’t discuss team business publicly, salary, playing time, injuries, etc. But once again, I fully have the ā€œrightā€ to push back, disagree and even support your political or social views once you choose to make them publicly. So I’m thinking maybe you are the idiot here. And are you insinuating that Abdul Carter somehow doesn’t have the right to express his views because of his family background and faith?!?

He was always on!! Never had to question Mike when it came to playing basketball. That’s real!! We can’t say that about nobody else. Down the stretch of games, he was going to execute. It’s proven time and time again

Truth
One of my very close (good friends) killed himself when he turned 40. He had a beautiful wife and a baby girl. He was an orthopedic surgeon. He was gentle and always kind. He shot himself in his home with a shotgun. His suicide note said he had no friends. I think about him a lot. His wife. His daughter. I think about the kind of friend I was. I think about being his age and what life is like. Check on someone today. You never know what they are dealing with. RIP Eric. You are missed my friend. I’m sorry.

I think the whole world is in agreement that the bubble was a fake championship correct?

The Jazz teams Jordan beat would be considered all time great teams if they won. They say Jordan didn’t beat anybody but leave out that he beat the league MVP in the Finals 3X. Barkley , Malone and Magic were MVP of the league . Drexler finished 2nd to Mike.

Magic’s Lakers. Clyde’s Blazers. Barkley’s Suns with KJ and Majerle. GP & Kemp’s Sonics. Stockton & Malone’s Jazz twice. Shaq & Penny’s Magic before the Finals too. And the film is literally all over YouTube lol. Y’all act like this era existed in black and white with no footage available.

All true except one thing; Clyde "The Glyde" Drexler won a championship in 95' with the Rockets
I’ve never been the biggest Lebron fan but anybody saying his career as a Laker so far hasn’t been a major flop is doing a disservice to LeBron. Obviously we’re not counting the micky mouse And 1 Bubble tournament as a real title. So we’re judging him on just his ability to make the playoffs for a cup of coffee? To never be a real threat? Meanwhile MJ and Russell were winning titles at his age not just being cannon fodder for their opponents. So out of respect for LeBron and his legacy I refuse to describe his time in LA as anything other than a complete and utter failure. After all this was his longest consecutive tenure with any team and he didn’t win a title. He’s basically Clyde Drexler or Karl Malone Great players in their own right that never won. LeBron doesn’t even make the roster of all time Laker greats. It’s an insult to his legacy and the legacy of a top 5 player of all time to say his tenure in LA was successful. Although I suppose if he truly was a top 5 all time player would have probably won in LA right? Hmm. Tough to wrap my brain around it.

LeBron James is a generational physical talent. He’s a great player, hall of famer. He had a good run. But the debate over whether he is better than Michael Jordan is honestly embarrassing at this point. Jordan is the GOAT, and now we can stop talking about it.

Shoutout the Browns for doing right by their guy and making sure he’s still getting his checks and active insurance after a life threatening injury on the field … We know some teams, especially in the past, would’ve tried to find a way out of paying for a player that got hurt on their dime. Experiencing that first hand is why I appreciate the Browns for staying solid for Jeremiah. šŸ’ÆšŸ™šŸ½
The #Browns have placed LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah (neck) on the reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list for the second straight season. That means he will not play in 2026.

It’s really unfortunate for Shai , if he was doing this exact same play style in a Lakers uniform nobody would say a single thing. My proof ? It’s literally a guy who does it in a Lakers uniform at a higher clip who doesn’t get scolded for it ever
