Torquay United are currently in free fall in what feels like a managed decline.I don’t know why people buy football clubs if they just want to kill the football club,Well I do know but I just try and have more faith in humans. This piece gives some clarity on the situation. #TUFC
For 79 unbroken years, Torquay United were a proud Football League club. Now, thanks to a doomed stadium plan, declining results and a refusal to communicate with desperate supporters, they have reached their lowest ebb. And fans are angry.

The past five days have been an astounding display of Lancaster watchmaking heritage and legacy. Thank you all for an extraordinary National Convention and Time Symposium, we couldn't have done it without you!
A special moment… some 30 years ago I was working alongside renowned horologist Derek Roberts in Kent when we held the definitive exhibition on Skeleton Clocks to coincide with Derek’s book published on the subject. We had dealings with Hal Cherry, one of the great collectors.
Hal has donated a large part of his wonderful skeleton clock collection to the NAWCC clock museum in Columbia, PA and whilst there to give a talk on carriage clocks during the convention who should I bump into, but Hal himself. Just wonderful.
The start of my lecture this morning at the NAWCC convention, talking on the carriage clock maker Alfred Drocourt and focusing on two special clocks he made. One for Queen Victoria the other for Alice Liddell, the inspiration for Alice in Wonderland. @nawccmuseum
Would you believe it l, part two…
