If you're considering AKs, here's what you need to know: 1st time buyers: stick to PSA or Arsenal. Anything century arms international touches is liable to explode so just... dont. Polish AKs are usually solid, but some importer/builders for em are ass, so its a dice roll. If you like ak for range toy, great, your first purchase will do just fine. If you like ak for worky work, then you need to look at either customizing an Arsenal yourself, or dip into the Semi-Custom market. Meridian does good work. If you are a true ak enthusiast, look into rifle dynamics or fuller phoenix. Consider learning to build ak. Do not try to modernize or fix AK, embrace its flaws. Otherwise you just end up in the same trap as me: spending years developing custom parts for what is basically just an overly expensive AR18/Galil hybrid. Just buy an AR-18 of some derivative or another, at that point. Notes on caliber: 7.62x39 and 5.45x39 were both obsolete decades ago. They have crap BC, dont expand properly, and are inconsistent as fuck. Their only merits were they were cheap. They are not cheap any more so don't bother. If you want 7.62 but better in every way, get one in .300 Blackout. If you want 5.45 but better in every way, get it in 5.56. If you want the .30 cal vibes or, even better, .30 cal reach with better performance than either .300 BO or 5.56, or want a short working gun for vehicles, then get a 12.5" 6.5Grendel.

Or, wild idea, the writers and developers were just interested in a good game with a compelling storyline that already fit their Oni universe, and maybe their Marathon universe too...
Replying to @ReactionaryLuma
The original Halo trilogy has a leftist message. It depicted religion being a tool used to oppress and justify attrocities, and and heroes were a diverse group who worked together despite their differences

OG Dead Space was **SAVAGE** My favorite is still the Dividers, where they pop Isaac's head off and replace it with their own before letting out a whale-howl.
“UUGH games always have such brutal death scenes for exclusively FEMALE characters” Meanwhile Isaac Clarke every 5 seconds:

Dragon Waifu best girl Also, he died like 5 times on his way up, stepping on the corners of steps like that. At least he got to practice his swagger!

autonomous robot driving through the field at night. no chemicals. no pesticides. just UV light killing pathogens and pests while everyone sleeps. this is @tricrobotics. this is what chemical-free pest control looks like at scale.

This is a sexual assault—unknowingly captured by a mom filming her daughter’s wrestling match. Kallie didn’t know her opponent was male. But she knew something was very wrong. Today @ADFLegal helped Kallie sue the WA officials who placed gender ideology above her safety. 🧵⬇️

I should just terminate my @LastPass account and migrate to a password manager service that doesn't see me logging in from the same device in the same location daily but lock me out weekly anyways to force me to use their half-baked two-factor authentication. Fuuuuuuck this shit

Jesus. Windows drops an emergency hotfix... PC gets stuck in boot loop with all fans and pumps (water cooled) screaming at max speed. I used to mock linux bros for trying to shove a square peg in a round hole... but at least you can brute force that problem. Windows is fast on its way to just being too broke to fix.

America. I came here for a fishing rod. A simple thing. A stick. A line. A hook. In Japan, this is how you speak to a river. Quietly. Patiently. With humility. You lower yourself to the water. You wait. The fish decides. I walked into Bass Pro Shops. I could not find the fishing rods. I found the guns. Many guns. A wall of guns. Floor to ceiling. Side to side. Gleaming and waiting — the way a cathedral waits. Not for you to arrive. For you to finally understand why you came. I stood there for a long time. And slowly, I began to understand. In Japan, to catch a bass, you use a rod. In America, to catch a bass, you bring overwhelming force. This is not fishing. This is a declaration of intent. I picked up a rifle scope. I raised it slowly to my eye. I looked through it toward the lake outside the window — the still, glittering, unsuspecting lake — and I saw it clearly for the first time. The enemy. The employee appeared beside me. I did not hear her coming. This impressed me deeply. She had training. "Can I help you find something?" I lowered the scope. I looked at her. She looked at me. "I am scouting the enemy," I told her. She nodded. Without hesitation. Without confusion. She has done this before. Everyone who comes here has done this before. This is what you do before you fish in America. I left with no fishing rod. I left with no gun. I left with something heavier — a new philosophy, settled into my bones the way a long war settles into a soldier who has finally seen the battlefield and understood that the battlefield was always inside her. A kunoichi does not fish for bass. Bass Pro prepares the kunoichi for bass. Is this normal? Please explain American fishing to me. I am ready to learn.
