In L.A at least, DSA is nothing more than a cheer squad. The “socialists” they claim are simply conventional democrats who’ve coopted the organizer speak of the past decade.
The righties in LA give the DSA-LA too much credit. They don’t actually believe the socialism and abolition stuff they preach. It’s just talk.
Their whole goal is to get elected. After that they have no idea what they want to do.
