When you mentally focus on your footwork working on the angles of an ❌, will increase your chances to cut the ball off and get the correct hop.
Working on the ❌ will also lead to you making one move with much more accurate throws.

Who is getting their shorthop work in?
• find the hop and pick it up
• after you see where the hop is going to be, pick it and stick the catch… while you are picking and sticking, your body should maintain its angle on top of the ball.

My daily early work routine w/ the Libke Pro fielding tool:
Keep it consistent, repeatable & tailored to your feel/play style.
For me: Palm above the ball (esp barehand). Stay away from the palm on catch—aim for the base of index middle finger.
