I have to give a shout out to the homie @Science_Social2 for putting me on to this scholar Dr. Valethia Watkins of Howard University. This is the first time I've heard feminism/anti-feminism articulated this way. I'll put the YouTube link to the presentation on the next tweet.

Health wasn't a convo as much as weightloss was... Which, at the time, ppl thought was health.... Ads on TV were constant: Slim fast, weight watchers, Jenny Craig, nutri-system, every food has a "diet version"
One of my favorite parts about the 90s is we just ate whatever food we wanted. Food was food. No one argued about what food was bad and what food was healthy. We just minded our business in general. At least that’s how I remember it

Mexico did not do this. They recognized Black people/Afro Mexicans as a distinct ethnic group.

All That’s legendary musical guests In the mid to late 90’s, ‘All That’ treated music as more than an intermission between sketches. From stars to future icons, the show became 1 of the coolest places for kids to discover new artists. Here’s a thread of our fav performances:🧵

That story is simply not true. Jose Menendez DID have a $5 million "key man" life insurance policy from LIVE Entertainment, but Menendez never took the physical for the insurance policy because he was having heart problems a few months earlier in 1989 and didn't want his company to find out. The entire Menendez family was asking about that policy after the murders led by the executor of the family estate, Carlos Baralt. Mr. Hoffman can try and sell books by claiming he didn't believe the #MenendezBrothers hadn't been abused. That's also not true. You can try and float BS from almost 37 years ago, but some of us were actually there covering the case carefully and know the facts. SMH
Jose Menendez's former business partner claims Lyle called him days after the murders demanding a $20 million life insurance payout — and says he never believed the brothers' abuse allegations. Peter M. Hoffman, ex-CEO of Carolco Pictures, details the warning signs he missed in a new memoir, including Erik and Lyle getting caught burglarizing friends' homes a year before the killings.

They foul for putting this lady picture on this thumbnail, knowing no one reads anymore.
In 1999, a farmer gave away 87 acres of land to a small Texas city to use as a park. The city sold it to a data center developer for $10 million. 404media.co/a-farmer-donated…

It was a vastly wealthy white family. Rich ppl donate land and property and shut all the time. It's part of the philanthropy game.
Love ya Phil, but this post is misleading. People are assuming the woman in the photo is the farmer, and then you have to have a subscription to read the full article. Who is the farmer?
