It all started with a student asked if I like chips. Of course I say yes. Next thing I know, as nerves for hosting the talent show build up, I receive a hand crafted bag with chips of compliments and good lucks in it. These students surely know how to put a smile on my face.

Sometimes as educators we get so caught up getting things completed that we neglect what the ss need sometimes. Instead of doing a normal brainstorm, we did a walk n’ talk to discuss what makes books good to prepare for writing reviews! @DAAElementary #activelearning

1DL kicked off word detectives and have been working together to solve words using various strategies. We also went off script and talked about why an author would write words repeatedly. We then explored rephrasing “I like”. @DAAElementary
