We got scammed by the @believeapp team, here’s our story 🧵 As most of you know, we were the first project to launch on Believe App that received a grant. The grant amount can reach up to $10,000 at most, meant to give builders a small boost. 1/ We quit because the @believeapp team lacks integrity. Their actions don’t represent an organization we’d ever want to build our future with. Worth noting: these grants are supposedly funded by @believe_capital (@fiiishcake, @cryptokevin2011). Attached is an image of our messages with @Nic_Wenzel_1 from July 19. Since then, we haven’t been paid a single cent 🤡. We stopped chasing it, it’s pointless. @pasternak you should be ashamed. 2/ Everyone remembers the @taylorfox__ incident. He LIED on the TL and said he “unfollowed by accident.” That’s not what happened (I can share DMs if people care). Before our token launch, during a Google Meet call, they promised to help with marketing, follow us, etc. On launch day @taylorfox__ followed us. Then mid-launch, he just randomly unfollowed. Later, he lied publicly, calling it an “accident.” We let it slide because it felt wrong to call him out and risk being the reason Taylor got fired from Believe. In hindsight, we should’ve spoken up. 3/ When we went live, we actually built good connections with other teams and have plenty of other stories to share. But for now, this is enough. Them scamming grants and lying publicly without hesitation should already be enough of a red flag. Don’t trust such a soulless team. If you’re considering launching on Believe, I hope you see this tweet first and think twice. I’ll tag everyone and include the hashtags so this gets the recognition it deserves. Bottom line: Do yourself a favor and don’t launch on Believe. A smart man learns from his mistakes, a wise man learns from the mistakes of others. We should’ve learned from the @avipat_ & @useKled incident. If you truly have a solid organization and want to launch a token, there are far better alternatives. We are rolling out grants to our first batch of grantees. The grants are a small incentive to get creators excited to launch. They are not endorsements of the coins. LingoChain did get a small grant and Taylor mistakenly followed them pre-launch which isn’t something we want to do. We want to avoid engaging with launches the first 24 hours because we don’t want people trying to trade something based on our interactions. Please be careful, do your own DD and don’t rely on looking at who follows/likes/replies to a project to verify legitimacy

Let’s address the FUD! 1. We're aware of the concerns regarding LingoChain's association with the Believe funding program. We are 100% a part of it and still stand by that. We're working with @believeapp to clarify and resolve the issue. Transparency matters, and we'll share updates as they come. 2. People are rightfully questioning why @taylorfox__ unfollowed mid-launch, which caused the token price to drop around 80%. We're unsure why we were unfollowed. We had a Google Meet the other day and thought everything was going as planned? We're not here to slander Taylor or the Believe team. We’re confident it’ll get resolved soon. Our focus remains on building and onboarding the next generation into crypto. P.S. LingoChain works perfectly fine and is free to use. We’ve turned off all premium features for this launch so everyone can enjoy the full experience. We will never relaunch. This is the token that will be tied to LingoChain forever.
