Vaccines, a ❤️ story. Nanny (vaxxed) tests pos Fri when she wakes up and can’t taste. She is part of our family 5 days/week. Thurs pm she was in bed watching a movie with kids (1 dose each, 2 weeks ago), sharing snacks. All 4 Albenbergs had neg PCRs today (day 5). 👏for science!
As a healthcare professional, I know the value of effective, life-saving antibiotics. I signed onto this letter to @McDonald’s asking the company to reduce #antibiotic use in its global beef supply chain to keep these medicines effective. uspirgedfund.org/resources/u…
1) An update re: how I am doing after The 2nd COVID-19 vaccine which I received Tuesday night. I was achy and had a low grade fever yesterday. I prepared for the possibility of feeling under the weather and did telemedicine from home. Today, I feel 💯 back to normal.
2) I am a physician but also an immunocompromised #IBD patient. My symptoms yesterday suggest my immune system was hard at work making antibodies. Today I feel 💪 and hopeful.
3) I am encouraging my #IBD patients to take the vaccine when offered! Protect yourselves, your loved ones, your neighbors from this awful disease. Thank you science. Thank you @ChildrensPhila
Dose 2! Tears of joy behind the goggles. I was vaccinated to protect myself (as an immunocompromised #IBD patient), my family, my patients, my community. And one step closer to my kids getting to see their grandparents ✅
A1:Certain patients can use diet to treat their disease (if recommended by their MD/DO). However, diet is important for all patients with IBD to maintain general health and it may be able to prevent flares.#IBDchat
Excited to participate with my Canadian colleagues in #ibdminds2020 , a welcome alternative to watching hours and hours and hours of election coverage!
