getting ready for fxhash 2.0
a quick guide
what is fxhash?
fxhash is an open platform for anyone to create, collect, and enjoy generative art created with code.
what about fxhash 2.0?
in the two years since the platform's inception, fxhash has lived exclusively on tezos.
with the 2.0 upgrade, fxhash is expanding to include ethereum alongside tezos, making it the world's first multichain generative art platform and enabling you to create and collect generative art NFTs on both chains.
and it's coming packed with features making fxhash the ultimate platform and toolkit for generative artists everywhere ✨
when is the 2.0 release happening?
we anticipate a 2pm cet/8am est/5am pst/10pm jst launch. this means fxhash 2.0 will be open and available to all at the moment of release.
however, before the launch rolls out to everyone at 2pm CET, artists can mint their projects on the platform to prepare for the opening. additionally, during this time, collectors can start syncing their ethereum & tezos wallets to the platform.
please check into the discord to keep track of when the pre-launch for artists is live along with latest timeframes!
how will wallets work on fxhash 2.0?
the first wallet you connect becomes your primary account wallet. Any additional wallet you connect becomes your secondary wallet.
🚨 that means if you already use fxhash and have an associated tezos wallet account, connect with that one first before connecting with your unrecognized ethereum wallet 🚨
why? because if you connect the unrecognized ethereum wallet first, it will create a new account, and when you go to sync your already known tezos wallet, the system will refuse to sync that wallet because it's already associated with another account.
which wallet do you recommend for ethereum?
you can connect with any major web3 wallet with ethereum support, however, we recommend
@MetaMask
which wallet do you recommend for tezos?
both
@TempleWallet and
@KukaiWallet are great options and have served tezos users well for years.
what is this launch calendar thing?
the launch calendar is a space for artists to add incoming projects, whether they're finished or in a work in progress state, so that anyone can see and plan for them.
launch calendar projects show release dates and times in your local time and are approximate - details found in launch calendar project pages are subject to change according to the artist.

how about launch partners?
our launch partners for fxhash 2.0 are an epic group of curators, gallerists, DAOs, and generative art organizations who have made outstanding contributions to the fxhash ecosystem and the art-on-blockchain ecosystem at large.
launch partners have organized outstanding exhibitions of generative art for the occasion of fxhash 2.0, which are viewable by navigating to the launch calendar and selecting the show partners button.
they include our day one launch partner
@tender_art and
@artxcode_io @VolumeDAO @ExpandedArt @KUMALEON_ @RefractionDAO @AtelierGenArt
@parametaio @bitforms @NFTuesdayLA
how long are the fxhash 2.0 launch festivities?
community feedback around the launch calendar has been really positive, so we've decided to make the calendar a permanent feature and to extend the launch festivities throughout december.
if you are an artist, consider spreading your project release to a less populated day.
