Almost 20 years of under inflation pay rises have seen the employees of one of the world's wealthiest universities take industrial action after yet another real terms pay cut. University of Cambridge @Cambridge_Uni @BBCCambs @Cambslive @HeartCambsNews @BBCLookEast
Prestige alone won't put food on the table or pay the bills of essential workers who play critical roles across the @Cambridge_Uni. It's time for fair compensation and respect for their dedication.

I’ve been barred from standing as North East Mayor by @UKLabour. No explanation has been given. I’m proud to have created thousands of jobs, fought child poverty, built affordable homes and delivered our Green New Deal. I believe in democracy. Share if you do too. More to follow.

I've never met a worker who relishes going out on strike. They lose pay, and it scares people to do so. They do it in an act of desperation when just they can't make ends meet. The government need to pay struggling workers what they deserve.

So pleased our front bench is ‘looking very, very closely’ at ID cards. They'll undoubtedly see what an utter, dystopian, disaster they are. Because you could never imagine a future Tory Home Sec denying people access to basic public services for protesting or striking could you?

During the pandemic, staggering £9 billion was spent on PPE that was written off, £2.6 billion on items not even suitable for NHS and countless contracts just happened to go to firms linked to Tory donors! Unforgivable wastage and corruption …all at the expense of the taxpayer!

Ex Peterborough MP, Stewart Jackson, who used his parliamentary pass more times than any other ex MP in 2018-19 to access ex colleagues for his company can now lobby with impunity after being made a Lord. Such is the totally corrupt system we live in- see politicalinsightuk.com/about…

Congratulations. I'll buy it. 😊
I have finally written my first novel! I put a lot of myself into those pages, so putting them out there into the world is both exciting and terrifying. I hope you like it. THE BOOK: amazon.co.uk/dp/B0B9QM9MFT

NO, we're not buying that the government has done all they can do to cut our energy bills🙅🏾‍♀️ Propping up privatisation is not the solution to this crisis, it is what caused the crisis in the first place. Here are the real solutions👇🏾

Liz Truss managed to get to the top job in the UK by spewing 3 simple slogans. "Grow the Economy' 'Cut Taxes' 'Deal with the Energy Crisis' All without any proper or real scrutiny?! It's incredible how easy it was made for her to become the Prime Minister of Great Britain.
