Maybe this has happened to you…
You’re a composer at a new music festival. You meet a performer and they express enthusiastic interest in your music. When you get home, you send them the score. But then…crickets. You never receive a response.
Recorded some audition selections today with my dear colleague Dianne Davies. We have earmarked Lenny the Leopard from Irving Fine and Gertrude Norman's Childhood Fables for Grownups for a future performance--we loved recording it so much!
Mezzo-composer Lisa Neher, flutist Rose Bishop, and pianist Abbie Brewer performed a concert of “innovative yet beautiful” chamber music in Saint Paul. orartswatch.org/blessed-with… Thankyou @orartswatch for this fabulous review!

Congratulations to all on your excellent, expressive, and unique performances of Sunflower Sea Star! We're so grateful that you commissioned this work and shared your performances with audiences.
All I want to do is select a different repayment plan for my student loans.
But I have to do this via phone call, not online (why? I'm an adult. They're my loans. Shouldn't I get to decide how to repay them?)
So I sit here. On hold. For 30 minutes. Waiting. Waiting. Waiting.
Also can I say: I got married. I'm not eligible for my old plan anymore because my household income increased. This is me trying to be proactive and say, charge me more! Why is that so hard?
@SchumakerA is making an album: Love, Death, Sleep, Money ! Can you support it with a signal boost on a few $? I preordered the album via @Kickstarter which is a great model so that the artists can have the funds they need to create it now, and I get music when it's done!
