Me riding to Brampton City Hall to delegate again against bike lane removals. This is Howden which was reverted to 4 lanes for cars by ripping out 1 of only 3 protected lanes in the city.
As you can see the road is full of cars /s

Council continues removing bike lanes, including the protected bike lanes on Howden Boulevard, despite staff advice and public consultation. If residents who support cycling stay silent, our cycling network will continue disappearing. lisastokes.ca/2026/05/i-am-l…#BikeBrampton
@Metrolinx Why are there still construction barrels on the cycle tracks along Finch West LRT at every intersection? Also the cycle tracks are full of debris and haven’t been swept this spring
#FinchWestLRT@BikeBrampton
Also, why are the areas where bikes are stowed on the trains marked as such. It only shows wheelchairs and strollers. I was unsure where to put my bike
After breakfast, we traveled into Amsterdam, walked along canals, and explored the Rijksmuseum, learning about The Night Watch. We wandered markets, admired architecture, and ended the day tired but satisfied, with a friendly hotel cat visiting us.

We arrived at the airport together, checked bags quickly, and watched a brief sunset before boarding. In Amsterdam, efficient transit, bicycles everywhere, a welcoming hotel, and a peaceful walk set the tone for our trip with plans for a museum tomorrow.

Here’s a video of the Charter Challenge Victory Bike Rally. It has a catchy AI generated song, and finishes with the quiet and sweet sound of bike tires on the road, which can be heard because there were no cars around.

@GOtransitKT I used the 19:04 train with my bike from Union to Bramalea GO on Thursday night. I boarded from the York Street end. The platform is announced only 10 minutes before the train leaves.

I think it would be better for all passengers, not just those with bikes, to provide this information to people travelling with their bikes.
I cannot understand GO Transit’s reluctance to provide this information

Why are the sidewalks in Brampton still not plowed ? Children need to walk home on the sidewalks and many people are walking in the road because the @CityBrampton has not plowed the sidewalks yet. This is unacceptable. @patrickbrownont
