Condolences to @TPSMyronDemkiw @TPACampbell and entire TPS family on this devastating loss of Cst. Marc Pinizzotto who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, while serving and protecting others. We must never forget the courage and inherent risk it takes to serve in policing. Our front line officers are truly #HeroesInLife.
"We lost a hero. Marc was a hero. I was in bed when he was there executing a search warrant with these dangerous individuals, when we're all sleeping and put his life on the line." @TPAca President @TPACampbell discusses the line of duty death of a @TPSOperations Constable.

Congratulations to Jangir Singh Sehmby, Brampton’s 2026 Ontario Senior of the Year! Yesterday at City Council, we recognized Jangir for his outstanding dedication to the Brampton community, including his leadership as President of the Association of Seniors Clubs Brampton and his advocacy for local seniors. The Ontario Senior of the Year Award, presented by my friend and Ontario Seniors Minister @RaymondChoPC recognizes one resident from each municipality who, after age 65, has made meaningful contributions to the social, cultural or civic life of their community.

June is Portuguese Heritage Month! 🇵🇹 The City of Brampton honours the history, culture and contributions of the Portuguese community, whose impact continues to be seen across our city through arts, culture and business. At yesterday’s City Council meeting, the City also acknowledged the contributions of Jorge Neves to Brampton’s Portuguese community on the occasion of Camões Day, also known as the Day of Portugal and the Portuguese Communities. This month is an opportunity to recognize the people, stories and traditions that continue to enrich Brampton’s diverse community.
