Dit weekend in Kyiv: het Book Arsenal Festival. Vorig jaar kreeg ik ook een uitnodiging, maar durfde ik niet. In de winter bezocht ik Kyiv op uitnodiging van @PenUkraine, dat hielp. Nu reis ik met voorzichtige zin naar dit literaire festival, als interviewgast en bezoeker.

Kyiv. Slowly, without any rush, I’m coming back to life. Still cold, still with rationed electricity at home, but the heating is better (more than a thousand high-rise buildings can’t say the same). Today, I had a warcoffee at a bookstore and bought two books. Maybe I’ll start reading again.
