At the moment there are seven different ways of collecting rubbish and recycling across the county.
Having one way would be more efficient and better value for money.
Weโve looked at different options for collecting recycling and believe that providing two wheelie bins, one for glass, cans and plastics, and one for paper and card will help achieve our goals.

We need you to have your say about rubbish and recycling as part of our #LetsTalkRubbish campaign.
We're consulting on giving households two recycling wheelie bins โ one for glass, cans and plastic, and one for paper and card, in order to be more efficient and cost-effective.
This would be done through alternate fortnightly collections. General waste collections would be unchanged. This would make collections the same across #NorthYorkshire.

@YorkshireCCC can you confirm the policy on bringing drinks to the test please. My friend had a plastic bottle of coke confiscated today but mine was allowed in by another steward. Both unopened. Who was right???? Thanks.
