Inspiring and thought provoking day today at @playlearnconf meet-up in York. I use play to teach, I use play to teach others to use play to teach, but I had not thought about teaching students to use play to do other jobs. Management feedback as haikus anyone?

There are people doing brilliant #community stuff, behind the scenes, across #Leeds. Today, Alfie here in #Beeston got a refurbed laptop for free, via @DawYorks, to help him prepare for his GCSEs. Thanks to all who made this possible ( they always welcome new volunteers tech).

Paid a short visit to @MakerOtley @OtleyCourthouse today - a shared shed/sewingroom/geekery for the community. 4 3d printers, a laser-cutter & an array of sewing machines. I'll be signing up as soon as I've picked what thing on @thingiverse I'm going to (try to) make first!
