Bruh I honestly thought Sonic was dead but turns out it's marketwide.
Yea the longer term looks really bad, but cant blame the past week's price action on 10-months of BD issues. For the longer term trend sure, but clearly the past week's sell off isnt directly related.

For future airdrops, I wonder if incentivising volume would make more sense. Instead of S/USDC liquidity, u incentivise vol across the pair. LPers also benefit from fees, more txns = feem rewards.
Ppl more willing to go big on trades/degenning. Positive relationship w/ Bots/MMs.

Theory: bcs the liquidity for S/USDC is so fat, it takes more USD to buy up the S price.
Maybe if you compare buy volumes leading up to FTM peak vs recent Sonic peak, we might have had enough dry powder to blow past ath, but bcs of airdrop farming, we're a 40c stablecoin. 🤷♂️
Instead, the airdrop mostly rewards users who do endless liquidity looping and then just sit on their stack for several months. Stagnating everyone's liquidity.

When everyone calls for dump so all the buyers wait for the dump and then the dump day happens and the coin dumps by 1% bcs everyone has been stacking liquidity (aka dump protection) to fish the dump/farm. Then they pull liquidity, and all the waiting buyers buy on thin liq. $S

Onchain tracker accounts shared it
Panic ensued. “Is Sonic dumping?”
The team just clarified:
→ This was a CEX migration - not a sale
→ Binance swapping old FTM for $S
→ Same wallet has helped many CEXs migrate

This was a simple transfer for Binance so they could swap out their remaining FTM to S.
We handle the migration for a lot of CEX's. This isn't a single "whale".
Look at that wallet's history, and you will see many similar tx's for different CEX's.
