On Monday, a USGS crew departed Chicago on a research cruise down the Illinois Waterway. In about a week they will arrive in Grafton, IL. Along the way, they will observe water quality (nutrients, CO2, methane and more) as part of the NGWOS project. #USGSow.ly/TwUL50J0vmZ
