1. As children, we used to look forward to the exchange of dishes among families. It wasn’t daily, but often enough to get etched strongly in our memories. A tengot/bowl or two of something delicious would leave our kitchen, and likewise we will also receive from our neighbours.

✨ @LombaKitchen does what monsoon tells it to.*✨ Some fresh bamboo shoot from Imphal home. Some hot chillies called U Morok grown in Delhi. Smoked pork done slow. That's the 🟢 and 🔴 on menu for this Sunday. I keep convincing @akoi_Jam to do pop-up settings in Delhi too. She keeps finding reasons to shunt that idea to the next season. 'Monsoon is just too wet for pop-ups' 😋. So till she does open to pop-ups, order your meals or portions now for Sunday lunch. 📲 Place your orders at 87983 94538. Received such an overwhelming response to our Kang Khechri. Mathel. Sadly we cannot take more orders. Really breaks our heart to say no to any order but to maintain quality and also sanity (😁) for the chef, we have to decline some orders. See you all next weekend ✨✨

*Lotus leaves from Manipur* ✨ Hi! Tomorrow, @LombaKitchen is preparing a special meal traditionally served during the Kang (Rath Yatra) festival back home. It’s called Kang Khechri — a festive platter of khechri with four other dishes, all wrapped in fragrant lotus leaves. We had the lotus leaves and ingredients specially flown in from Manipur just yesterday. This is a wholesome vegetarian meal, traditionally eaten straight from the leaf. Growing up, @akoi_Jam used to eagerly wait for the Kang festival just to enjoy this meal. This Sunday, Lomba Kitchen shares a piece of that joy and nostalgia with you. To have the special meal for this Sunday lunch, please place your order early at 📲 87983 94538. You can read the menu and the note on it on the two attached images. PS: I was in Hyderabad a week ago.
