Nine years on from the Grenfell Tower fire, we remember the 72 people who lost their lives and stand with the bereaved families, survivors and the North Kensington community. Grenfell was a preventable tragedy. The Inquiry exposed systemic failures across government, regulators and industry. Yet, nine years later, no one has been held accountable. As Grenfell Tower is dismantled and communities continue to fight for justice, the lessons of Grenfell must never be forgotten. Safe homes are a right, not a privilege.

💭 After months of negotiation and very careful consideration, the FBU Executive Committee overwhelmingly recommends acceptance of this year's pay deal. We recognise that longer term pay reform is a priority for our members, this will be the focus of our work over the coming weeks and months.

Solidarity with our colleagues in Oxford opposing these dangerous cuts
🚨 Oxfordshire firefighters have voted overwhelmingly for industrial action in their consultative ballots. 71% turnout, 94% YES. Fire service management refuse to listen, despite clear opposition to closing stations, removing engines and axing jobs.

Firefighters are significantly more likely to develop and die from cancer than the average worker. While the EU moves toward a blanket ban on all forever chemicals, PFAS is still present in UK firefighting equipment and PPE.

Yesterday our very own Jimmy Quinn retired. Jimmy served in controls but it was as a union rep that he excelled. The FBU members in NI will forever be in debt to Jimmy for all the selfless work he did, he was always available for advice and guidance. Thank you Jimmy.

Great video from @SadiqKhan on why trade unions matter and the importance of the Employment Rights Act. Trade unions were founded to fight for working people, and unions are organising and winning a better deal for workers every single day. ✊🌹 #HeartUnions ❤️
