This week, the Joint Legislative Audit Committee approved two important audits focused on issues that directly impact Arizona families: 🏫 School Safety – A comprehensive review of school safety practices, emergency response procedures, and compliance with mandatory reporting laws. 👨‍👩‍👧 Child Care Assistance Oversight – An examination of how hundreds of millions of federal child care dollars are being managed and whether safeguards are protecting taxpayers and the families these programs are intended to serve. I was honored to attend an event in Casa Grande and proudly receive the endorsement of the Arizona Republican Assembly along with my seatmates, @TMartinez4AZ and @TJShope . I also attended the @AZGOP Legislative Salute where I had the opportunity to hear Dr. Oz speak. I was also grateful to be recognized with an award for my service to Arizona alongside so many outstanding legislators! 🇺🇸

Finally, some good news on utility rates. My seatmate and I were proud to vote YES on HB2113! The bill requires the state to step in and defend homeowners when a utility company tries to raise rates. In these tough times, we voted to help consumers and stop massive rate hikes. @AZHouseGOP

I was honored to introduce my son, Dylan Michael Lopez, on the House floor today. He graduates from Grand Canyon University this afternoon with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. I am proud of everything my son has done to reach this moment. His discipline, hard work, and commitment paid off. ❤️

It was an honor to meet with the Pinal County Farm Bureau Ag Ambassadors today. Through the program, students get hands on experience through tours, outreach, and engagement with industry leaders. My son was a Farm Bureau Ambassador the year before I became a legislator! I always enjoy seeing young leaders from across the state and #LD16.

Kids are expensive. My seatmate @TMartinez4AZ and I were proud to vote YES on SB1106. The bill lowers childcare costs and increases the child tax credit to help Arizona families keep more of what they earn! More money for parents for diapers, daycare, school supplies, and more.

It was a pleasure to attend the Update from Capitol Hill event today. We got to hear from Congressman Juan Ciscomani on what is happening in Washington, D.C., and how it impacts Arizona.
