Our client has apparent disabilities which caused his hand to slip into an @Uber driver. Apology and explanation given but @Uber have closed his account. Vulnerable man’s independence curtailed and no recourse. Shocking discrimination. @Uber can do better.
Season 3 of my #TipsForNewDocs
1) The Discharge coordinator is the fiercest of all the ward staff. If you can defeat them in combat, the rest of the ward will accept you as their new pack leader, giving you the pick of the NHS bourbons and toast
Fantastic news! Kath is a brilliant Case Manager; thorough, totally client focussed, skillful and compassionate.
Unusually, Kath currently has capacity for another client, but you’ll have to be quick!
I hear that @EURO2024 have decided against the use of concussion subs in the tournament. Hoping that HIAs are still done properly and players safety is the priority. #concussion#braininjury#football
Lady in blue, "I've been in the NHS for 37 years.. You've had 14 years to sort out social care.. It's been decimated"
"There are patients in our hospital in beds while there are ten beds outside.. They are patients in corridors.. There are patients dying in corridors"
"If you sorted out social care and put your money where you mouth is then all these issues would be resolved as there's a knock on effect"
"But you're talking absolte rubbish. You're trying to decimate the NHS and we all know that. You don't want it. You never wanted it" #BBCQT
Michaela (Registered Manager) and Louise (Director) aced their interviews with CQC and we are now registered. When the assessor refers to us as a ‘High quality service’ we must be doing it right!
I’m looking forward to catching up with legends that are @jackijacking and @VickiGilman tonight ahead of the @BABICMorg conference tomorrow. Early night planned though so I don’t fluff my presentation in the morning.
‘Men wanted others to notice changes in their behaviour and to approach them without judgement.’
I’m a big fan of @Positivteacha who talks a lot of sense about raising /educating boys to be balanced, happy men.
Big thanks to @OTMTS for inviting me to #CornflowerBall last night. Definitely the BEST table! Lovely to catch up with good friends, too many to list here! What a night!
Interesting to hear the panellists and their views on the current state of care and the impact this will have on clients. Not all agreed but all need further consideration.......
I don’t want tax cuts. I want the ambulance to arrive. I want good schools, public transport and town centres. I want investment in jobs, education and people. An extra tenner a week is no good to me when society is falling to bits.
