People Before Profit TDs take home
the average industrial wage. Are they the last to do it?
You can't truly understand and represent ordinary people taking home €113k plus expenses.

There are so many wasted spaces like the old Eblana Theatre in Dublin. These could be used to enrich the cultural life of the city. Our profit-driven development model fails us, not just when it comes to housing, but when it comes to art and culture too.

While you dream of owning a home, Fine Gael is busy turning it into someone else’s profit. Welcome to the future where your home is someone else’s asset.
There may have been ten political leaders in this #Election24 debate, but it was dominated by the three candidates with the greatest chance of becoming Taoiseach, writes Mícheál Lehane

Watching @RTEUpfront housing special. This Government lifting the eviction ban during a housing emergency must have been one of the most cruel and heartless moves ever made by any government.

Heartbreaking
How anyone can listen to this women's experience of homelessness and vote #FFg in this election is beyond me. This is going on almost a decade, it's shameful. They've been forgotten & abandoned #RteUpfront#HousingCrisis#HopeForAChange
“The private sector is simple not capable of delivering houses that are affordable so 60 to 70% of ordinary working people are completely priced out of ever buying their own home”
@RBoydBarrett tells @KatieGHannon#rteupfront@rtenews@rteone
Don't forget, Labour were part of the government that opened the door to vulture funds and investors profiting while the housing crisis deepens.
They're in coalitions with FF/FG on councils across Ireland.
#RTEUpfront#AnotherIrelandIsPossible
Voters deserve a clear choice.
Our promise about government formation is simple.
We want an end to 100 years of FF and FG. We won't be propping them up.
Instead we need a Left government which represents the many not the few.
People Before Profit-Solidarity leaders have urged smaller parties not to enter in to a coalition with Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael.
Meanwhile, Labour have not ruled out joining the parties in government.

Leo's Legacy
On that day, as I walked to the Dáil, what did I see? Tents!
Well said @MickBarryTD, who responds to the claim that the opposition was 'ungracious' to the news that Varadkar was stepping down as Taoiseach.
#twip#HomelessCrisis#IrelandisBroken
Opposition let themselves down this week with attacks on Leo Varadkar.
It was one of those times politics should have been set aside but Labour, SF, the Soc Dems, and PBP could barely articulate a proper farewell to the departing Taoiseach.

The Israeli army detonates the last university it hadn't destroyed yet. A scene from the explosion of the Palestine University with 315 bombs. The university is owned by businessmen and is not affiliated with any political agenda.
Israel has destroyed all universities and about 70% of schools in the Gaza Strip.
If this is not genocide, then what is genocide?
A small taste of what you could have had with Jeremy Corbyn (plus a four-day week) if the right-wing of Labour had allowed it. Instead, they gave you tax cuts for billionaires with Murdoch and Johnson
Gaza is full of creativity, learning & joy. That is what is being destroyed.
We need an urgent ceasefire, the release of hostages and an end to the siege.
And then, maybe, we can try to bring some hope to the people of Gaza — teachers, artists, musicians — longing for peace.
